Since his first show at the legendary Wetlands NYC in 1997, Syntax Era has become one of the best-known live performance acid techno / house performers from the New York area in the world. What sets Syntax Era apart is his commitment to authenticity. He is known for his performances using only hardware, no computers, and his ability to give listeners an old school techno experience that can only be accomplished by playing the music directly off the very machines it was invented on. "The Jimi Hendrix of the TB-303”, he has made the TB-303 his techno lead guitar of sorts, pushing its sound to far extremes of the genre. Syntax Era remains committed to innovation, having recently released tracks on Hong Kong Acid techno imprint Acid Chicken and entertained the masses post-pandemic with his often psychedelic live acid techno web streams. Syntax is currently building the ultimate techno studio on Long Island which he has branded “Barking Bass Studios" and plans to release new music under the same name. His sets are always high energy, psychedelic, with heavy emphasis on tension and release.
