A$hley

A$hley began learning to DJ on vinyl in the early 2k’s, and played her first gig at “The Bricks”, in RI, a D&B weekly that gave a lot of DJ’s their first opportunity at playing out. She knew she had her work cut out for her, so she worked hard over the years experimenting with playing many different genres ranging from DNB, to breaks, as well as various styles of house, in search of trying to find her sound. It was after attending many shows at the legendary monthly-event, Dubwar at Club Love in NYC, which she set into a groove and became known for playing Dubstep. It was those deep, dark, rolling basslines that really captivated her, and that is what she sought to bring to the dance floor. A$hley spent many years representing various crews, and was most known for co-hosting the early Chill out/Downtempo rooms for Tight Crew. She was also a resident DJ repping True Crew at the Dubstep weekly The Drop, at the Phoenix Landing in Cambridge. Through the years, and still today, she reps for NYCRavers. Other previous affiliations include LTD, and RIDnB. A$hley has played many genres over the years, but has always come back to her primary love, Techstep/D&B. Although she hasn’t been on the circuit for many years as life took her in a different direction, settling down to start a family, she is slowly making her way back out on special occasion to ground her back in her electronic roots.
